Registration:

This is a meet for Rookies.  If you are new to powerlifting and want to do a meet without stress and in an environment where the officials will assist you from beginning to end, this is the meet for you.

Non-rookies are welcome to lift but, will not be eligible for awards or medals.

All participants must pre-register online, once registration opens.
All entries are non-refundable.
All entries are non-transferable


Meet Fees:

Rookies:

Required Meet Fee: $80 for open division
Fee for additional division: $20
Fees are non-refundable.
Fees are non-transferable.

Non-Rookies:

Required Meet Fee: $100 for open division
Fee for additional division: $20
Fees are non-refundable.
Fees are non-transferable.


Events:

Included in meet fee of $80 ($100 for non-Rookies) is entry into one event of the lifter’s choice.

Divisions:

Included in meet fee of $80 ($100 for non-Rookie) is entry into the open division.  All lifters 14+ are in the Open division.
Additional divisions may be selected at an additional cost of $20 per division.

Additional divisions offered include:

Teen (age groups – T1: 14-15, T2: 16-17, T3: 18-19)
Junior (age group: 20-23)
Masters (age group: M1: 40-49; M2: 50-59; M3: 60-69; M4: 70 and over)
Note: Master’s divisions will follow IPF standards for age divisions

YOUTH DIVISION WILL NOT BE OFFERED FOR THIS MEET


Check-in and Weigh-ins:

Check-in from 7:00 am to 8:30 am
Weigh-Ins from 7:00am  to 8:30 am
​Compulsory rules briefing at 8:30 am
​Lifting begins at 9:15 am


​Awards:

Only Rookies will be eligible for awards.

​Award ceremony will commence within 40 minutes after completion of all lifting on all platforms.

The following awards will be given:
Best overall male lifter based on Wilks’ points.
Best overall female lifter based on Wilks’ points.
Best overall male master lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 4 of more male master lifters, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).
Best overall female master lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 4 of more female master lifters, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).
Best overall male junior lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 4 of more male junior lifters, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).
Best overall female junior lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 4 of more female junior lifters, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).
Best overall male teen lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 4 of more male teens, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).
Best overall female teen lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 4 of more female teens, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).

Medals will be awarded for first through third place in each division, each weight group in each event.


​Eligibility and rules:

​All participants must be current USA Powerlifting members. (Register online: USAPL Membership Application)
Minimum 10% of participants will be drug tested by urinalysis.

​Required equipment:

This is a local meet.  This means that it is not ‘branded’.  You are not required to use the IFP approved gear.  Your equipment simply has to comply to the standards prescribed.  So, we will not care about the manufacturer, we will only care about the specifications.  If you want more information, please go to www.barbellum.com and read the lifter section.  There is a lot of information for first time lifters.

1.       Singlet

2.       T-shirt (100% cotton, no V-neck, no pockets)

3.       knee-high socks for the deadlift

4.       brief-type non-supportive underwear

5.       athletic shoes.
